Style expert and Bravo reality TV star Daisy Lewellyn has died at 36. The cast member of “Blood, Sweat & Heels” led us on her health journey during the sophomore season of the New York City-based show. During the 2015 finale, she even celebrated the end of her radiation treatments during season two. During an appearance, she tells “Today” show hosts, “I wanted to turn this tragedy into triumph by sharing my story in hopes that even one person could feel inspired.”
Sadly, Lewellyn didn’t win the battle against cancer.
“We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo’s Blood, Sweat & Heels has passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of Cancer. Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends,” a Bravo spokesperson said in a statement. “We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are expressed.”
“We are extremely saddened at the news of the passing of Daisy Lewellyn,” Leftfield Pictures said in a statement. “We will miss her incredible spirit and heart, and extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.”
Just three weeks ago, Lewellyn posted on Instagram:
“Spring is Just Around the Corner. Check out my Commercial w/ @burlingtonstyle as we give a #heartdisease Survivor A Fun & Fabulous Makeover airing on @tvonetv #SpringTrends #Survivor #Believe”
It was her vibrancy and optimism that made this writer tune in weekly to see her progress and witness her strength. I shed tears with her because she was so resilient and she loved life. She take-on-the-world style expert dubbed herself the title of The Queen of Effortless Chic and penned Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less, and Look Your Best Ever, a Simon & Schuster publication.
“I have cancer — cancer doesn’t have me. Every day comes with its challenges, but that doesn’t stop me from celebrating what I have in my life,” she said in March 2015. “I wanted to turn this tragedy into triumph by sharing my story in hopes that even one person could feel inspired.”
