Atlanta Hawks defeated the Boston Celtics in game 1 of the NBA Playoffs by a score of 102-101. Here are five things we learned from that game which will impact the series.

Jeff Teague is in playoff form

Teague struggled to stay on the floor during the final weeks of the regular season as back-up guard Dennis Schroder often had the hot hand in games. However, Teague returned to playoff form by scoring 23 points and dishing 12 assists. The Hawks are tough to handle when Teague is at the top of his game.

Celtics are the comeback kids

Several days after a tremendous comeback victory over the Miami Heat, the Celtics proved that they have the ability to fight back when behind. After trailing the Hawks by 19, they nearly came away with a victory in the fourth quarter.

Celtics will miss Avery Bradlley

Avery Bradley was the Celtics best hope to stop Teague. But he will likely be out of the series due to hamstring issues.

Kyle Korver’s struggles could hurt the Hawks

Kyle Korver has suffered the entire season as his three-point shot has faded. He continued to struggle in game 1 and became a liability for the Hawks after only scoring 2 points in 31 minutes.

Hawks volt shirts were met with mixed reviews

The Hawks provided fans with neon green shirts that created an eerie scene at Philips Arena. Some on Twitter complained by suggesting that it was visually distracting to watch on TV, while others were hoping for a chance to purchase the vibrant shirt.
