Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have been one of the biggest celebrity couples of the last decade and for years we’ve watched them go through a roller-coaster ride of a relationship, including a high-profile breakup and what seemed like the beginnings of a possible reconciliation last year. However, it looks like their marriage, after years of being in limbo, is finally coming to an end as reports claim that Khloe has filed for divorce for a second time.
As many fans will remember, Khloe originally filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013 amid rumors of infidelity and drug use on Odom’s end. Although Khloe initially didn’t move to finalize the divorce, she still ended up rebounding with men like French Montana and even struck up a high-profile relationship with NBA star James Harden last year.
Once Khloe was with Harden, she decided to begin finalizing her divorce from Odom, after being separated for nearly three years. However, Khloe quickly put a halt to the divorce when Odom nearly died from a drug overdose and subsequent seizures last October.
At the time, Khloe pledged to remain by his side as he recovered and rumors quickly spread that the couple may end up fixing their marriage while Odom healed his body.
However, those hopes seemed to be dashed earlier this year as Odom’s sobriety numerously came into question as photos of him drinking in bars kept showing up in the news. Rumors flew that Khloe was at her wits end with helping Odom and was giving up on their marriage.
Now, new media reports are claiming that Khloe recently met with famous divorce attorney Laura Wasser and filed new divorce papers on Thursday. Sources say that Khloe is, for a second time, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split between her and Odom.
Sources say that Khloe and Odom had a prenuptial agreement that’s still active and that they worked out a property settlement the first time that Khloe filed for divorce.
The sources say that, despite Odom’s claims a few months ago that he wanted Khloe back, the split was amicable this time and that Khloe gave Odom advanced notice that she would be filing for divorce again. In California, it takes six months after a divorce has been filed for it to be finalized, so now the former couple just has to wait until November for their marriage to officially be over.
