Drake may be gearing up to have one of the hottest summers of his career, but it looks like he’s sitting in the hot seat legally because reports have revealed that the rap megastar is being sued by famous producer Detail over accusations that his bodyguard assaulted the producer.

According to media reports, Detail, who is known for producing hits like Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” and “7/11,” recently filed a lawsuit against Drake, claiming that the rapper had his bodyguard beat him up after he turned down a request from Drizzy to work on music for him.

In the lawsuit, Detail claims that in 2014 the OVO superstar offered him a deal to become his sole producer for upcoming music sessions as he recorded music for unnamed music projects. However, Detail declined the offer because he didn’t want to work exclusively with one artist.

Detail claims that Drake was upset and irate about being turned down and that things between them went south after that; however, Detail claims that in June 2014 Drake invited him over to his Calabasas home to, once again, ask him to work on music with him.

Detail claims that he arrived at the rapper’s home around 2:00 a.m. expecting to be greeted by the Canadian superstar; however, he claims that he was instead greeted by Drake’s bodyguard, Chubbs, whom he claims immediately punched him in the face. Detail says that Chubbs hit him so hard that he broke his jaw.

Detail alleges that Chubbs yelled at him during the attack, saying, “I will beat all your a–es, including your b—-es. I don’t give a f***. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?”

Detail is now claiming in the lawsuit that Drake orchestrated the attack and the producer is allegedly seeking an unspecified amount of money from Drake over the beating.

Well, that’s a pretty major accusation and we’re interested to see whether Drake will take the lawsuit to court or settle it instead.
