Lamar Odom isn’t quite finished with Khloe Kardashian.
As previously reported, the blonde bombshell, who has been linked to NBA pro James Harden, French Montana and most recently Trey Songz, recently filed for divorce from her estranged husband for a second time. The pair called it off in October of last year, after Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel on Oct. 13. The couple originally filed for divorce in December 2013.
“Khloe thinks this was the right thing to do right now,” a source told E! News at the time. “I just thought it was really insensitive to [expedite the divorce],” she admitted in an interview with KIIS FM at the time.
“I get it, I get why it’s confusing, I understand all of that. James Harden has been great. He’s been very supportive with everything. There’s of course times where I’m sure he was really uncomfortable about some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide and I was very open with how I feel like I had to handle everything with Lamar.”
Although divorce tends to stretch over a six-month window, some, including Odom believe the reality star is intentionally dragging it out to cash in. On Friday, July 8, the former NBA star filed a response to Kardashian’s filing from May in a Los Angeles Superior Court, reiterating that “irreconcilable differences” was the reason for the dissolution of marriage, but also requests that the judge deny the court’s ability to award the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star with spousal support.
According to the court documents, Odom has also requested all attorney’s fees and costs be paid by Kardashian.
In late May, Kardashian moved forward with the filing after it appeared Odom was on the mend.
Meanwhile, another source claims “moving on” (which she’s done fairly well) has always been the game plan. “This was always the plan. The divorce has never been officially off,” a source told People. “Khloé was waiting for the timing to be right.”
