The plot thickens.

As previously reported, after missing a couple payments on his Ferrari’s lease, rapper Tyga was targeted by his lessor. To make matters worse, TMZ reported that the “Rack City” recording artist and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, were shopping for a new whip at a Bentley dealership in Calabasas on Tuesday, Aug. 30, when a repo man rolled up, gaining access with a spare key, before speeding off with the Italian sports car, as the couple shopped.

A few months back, the 26-year-old’s 2014 Maybach was taken to a Laguna Niguel repair shop after it had broken down. Again, Tyga failed to make crucial payments, resulting in the financing company stepping in. While the hit-maker essentially forfeited the flashy ride, his recent financial woes weren’t enough to dissuade him from purchasing Jenner a Mercedes-Benz ahead of her 19th birthday (Aug. 10). Because you have to fake it till you make it, right?

Now, both Tyga and Jenner appear to be on a damage control offensive with a wild tale about an elaborate prank, fake stories and a surprise gift. “So, fake stories came out today,” Jenner said in a Snapchat clip on Wednesday, Aug. 31. “The blogs almost ruined it and said me and T were at the Bentley dealership when really it was only me. And I had to lie to T and say, ‘I have no idea, T, what the story is. I was not at a Bentley dealership.’ But I was!”

The “The Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star then presented Tyga with the generous gift. “Did I lie to you?” Jenner asked in the clip. “I’m speechless right now,” Tyga replied, basically losing his mind at the sight of his new whip.

Most recently, the “Kingin’ With Tyga” star suggested in his own Snapchat video that the repossession was all part of an elaborate prank concocted by Jenner. “When ur lil baby cops u the Bentley truck and hides your Ferrari. Guess I can’t be mad,” he wrote alongside a snap of his new ride, adding a few laughing face emojis.

While the rapper may be laughing now, he’s faced some real financial hardship over the last several months. Just last week, Tyga was forced to pay a landlord $186,000 after he breached his lease by “failing to pay rent and other amounts due” when he abandoned the premises without notice in June 2015. Upon inspection, documents alleged the home was left in “gross disrepair, utility bills unpaid and hazardous environmental waste that required professional clean-up,” E! News reported at the time.

Earlier this month, Tyga faced an additional landlord in an eviction case. According to court documents, Tyga agreed to pay $16,000 per month for the residence. But, only three months after signing on the dotted kine, he stopped paying rent, resulting in legal action, People reports. Once evicted, an inspection discovered that Tyga had inflicted $480,000 in damages on the home. The repossessions? Just icing on the cake.
