5. Her attempts to steal #Blackgirlmagic
Queen Bey has been getting in formation ever since she dropped her Lemonade visual album airing out all her “dirty laundry,” plus more. She addressed infidelity, racism and of course, cultural appropriation. This might be the most “woke” she’s been her entire career. Lately, Bey has been on a pro-Black everything kick and is advocating especially for women of color. African American women have always been trendsetters for urban fashion and hairstyles but never receive credit as the source. Instead, you have women like Kim K perpetrating with other non-Black women rocking cornrows or faux ‘fros or… bantu knots. Kim may have a Black hairstylist and a Black husband but still doesn’t have enough #Blackgirlmagic to get her an invite to one Bey’s private soirées or in her friendship circle.
