Carlos “Shawty Lo” Walker, the artist known for the BET Award-winning hit “Dey Know” died in a single car crash on the I-285 southbound ramp to Cascade Road, in south Fulton County, Georgia after leaving the Blue Flame Lounge, a popular adult entertainment club. The white Audi A7 he was driving went down a embankment. He was the founder of the Atlanta rap group D4L, who scored a hit with shake yo “Laffy Taffy.”
Officials initially reported the accident as a hit-and-run, but “it has been confirmed now that it was a single car accident,” Fulton police spokeswoman Cpl. Maureen Smith shared..
“The driver, 40-year-old Carlos Walker, lost control of his vehicle, a 2016 Audi, leaving the roadway and striking a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire.”
Walker was ejected from the car and died on the scene. There were two female passengers in the car who were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
