In case you missed it, on Friday, Sept. 30, Solange Knowles dropped her new album, A Seat at the Table. Among the fans raving over the project, was one very special lady, the singer’s mother, Tina Knowles. Mother Knowles prepped fans for the drop two days prior writing, “A Seat At The Table, Solange’s new Album comes out, Friday ! It is an awesome, socially conscious , beautiful to listen to, Delicious to look at, (the visuals are amazing Art pieces , thought provoking to analyze , (the lyrics are clever , funnny, relatable and deep! The message is one of pride , anguish , frustration and triumph. She did the damn thing. A must hear!,” via Instagram. By the close of the week Tina Knowles, also the mother of Solange’s famous sister Beyoncé, couldn’t contain her excitement. So, she did what any doting mother would do and took to social media once more, where she shared her most-loved songs — though she admitted it’s hard to pinpoint her ultimate favorite. “Well the album is out on iTunes!” She captioned a photo of Solange’s album cover. “It is a must hear record! Please get it and tell me your favorite songs. I wonder will it match my favorite songs. It’s hard to pick but soo far ‘Cranes in the sky’ and ‘Mad.’ Don’t miss out on your ‘Seat at the table’ uh oh just added ‘Don’t touch my hair’ it’s soo beautiful!”
