Drake, 29, postponed his upcoming Summer Sixteen tour dates on doctor’s orders after suffering an ankle injury, he announced in a statement on OVO’s blog.
“I am crushed to even be typing this announcement because I feel like I am letting my fans in these cities down,” the “Controlla” rapper wrote.
“I hate to be told I can’t do something, but under doctor’s orders to allow me time to recuperate, I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support.”
Toni Braxton, 48, recently had a lupus scare that caused her to cancel tour dates. She was hospitalized this week suffering from symptoms triggered by the autoimmune disease, and was forced to postpone two upcoming shows in California. Braxton revealed she was battling the autoimmune disease back in 2010.
The “Breathe Again” singer confirmed in a statement to E! News that she plans to get back on the road for her Oct. 12 show in Detroit.
“I am so excited about going back on the road and seeing all of my wonderful fans and friends,” she promises. “Everyone’s life is complicated and this is just a condition that I live with.” Her boo thang Birdman flew in from Texas to be at her side. They have been dating for several months.
Comedian Rodney Perry, 46, suffered a minor stroke. On his Facebook page, he posted:
Long story short, I got a little sick. It is a stroke. Probably the milder of that type of thing, but it’s still a stroke nonetheless.
Did some rehab today. Feeling better. Send your prayers out to my family. I appreciate y’all.
