Police in Prince William County, Virginia were able to catch a sexual predator by using a life size sex doll. According to police Brandon Murdock was a suspect in two assaults at a Wyndham Garden Hotel in Manassas. The first assault occurred last October and involved two teenage girls who were in bed asleep when Murdock somehow entered their room and touched them inappropriately and then fled. The next assault occurred last month and involved a 65-year-old woman who was also asleep when Murdock entered the room and touched her. Murdock was able to get away before police responded in both instances.
Last week, police setup a life-size sex doll in a bed with the hope of catching the serial predator and they did not have to wait long. Murdock was caught on the first night breaking into the room to assault what he thought was another sleeping victim. Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok stated, “To the point where we were looking at anything, we conducted this operation. We didn’t know if it was going to take days, weeks or months, but we were kind of, at that point, where we needed to try pretty much anything we could to get this offender off the street because we were worried that the offenses would escalate…We have three victims right now, but we didn’t want there to be a fourth. So we did this operation out of luck hopefully to try and catch this person, and thankfully we did.”
According to police, Murdock had no connection to the hotel and lived at least an hour away, He has now been charged with burglary and attempted aggravated sexual assault. More charges were expected to be filed, and Murdock is being held without bail pending a court date.
