Have you flirted with the idea of entrepreneurship but don’t know if it’s necessarily the path for you? Too comfortable with a safety net and schedule to really let that go, but yet want a business of your own? A side hustle might be what you’re looking for then. Below are a few reasons why anyone should consider a side hustle:

Disposable income
Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck? Do you get heart palpitations after thinking you overspent on shopping, food, going out? Pursuing a side hustle allows you to create a separate income, that can be designated towards exactly those things that fall under the disposable income category but are very much important to your quality of life.

Stability
Perhaps you have a great job with good benefits. Well, what about saving some of that hard-earned cash? Thinking about the future, and the fact that your job situation is subject to change eventually allows you to create a pretty cozy cushion during the job hunt period.

Better schedule
Instead of an eight-hour shift or more depending on your field of work, side hustles work around your schedule. This means you choose the hours you want to work, whether that is in the mornings, evenings, or weekends. Of course, that doesn’t mean work when you feel like it, and following an organized schedule is actually better for your side hustle and will yield better results.

Create a new job for yourself
Say your side hustle eventually becomes successful enough that it creates a larger income than your full-time job. That means you can now quit that job, and your side hustle is more than just a side hustle and your new full-time job. You have just created a new job for yourself. That investment you made in yourself and your time after and before work, and on the weekends has paid off and you can now work for yourself, on your own terms.
