Zoe Saldana has cemented her love for husband Marco Perego in ink.

In case you’re playing catch-up, on Thursday’s episode of “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” the 38-year-old actress revealed that she got the face of her husband, tattooed on her side — rib cage to be exact. “I did and it’s here,” she said pointing to her left rib. “We’re those kind of people,” Saldana explained. “Oh, come on, be happy for us. He’s had my face on his arm, so it’s only fair.”

Last Friday, the mother of twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, captured a pre-tattoo snapshot at the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood, California.

According to the Guardians of the Galaxy star, the piece was two years in the making. “You want it to be in a place that’s private, that you only show when you’re, like, in a bathing suit,” Saldana shared. “And I’ve been wanting to get it for two years … but I finally got it.”

As for how Saldana selected the permanent and literal image of her hubby, she googled it. “I remember when I first started dating Marco and I went online because I know he’s was an artist,” she added. “So I looked him up and a picture came up. I thought it was a nice profile of his so that was the picture I wanted to have.”

Needless to say, despite the bad juju believed to be associated with couples getting matching tatts, or the fact that Perego got inked first, Saldana revealed the idea was hers and hers alone. “I was the one who was going to do it in the first place, but we get our tattoos with an amazing artist called Mark Mahoney. Every time we go for me, Marco would end up convincing me that I didn’t have to get it so that he can get a new tattoo.”

Though we have yet to see the finished work — not sure if we ever will, it appears that Saldana got just what she wished for.
