Over the weekend tons of Atlanta locals came together for a black-tie event geared toward bringing awareness to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Curated by Atlanta socialite Antonio Brown, owner of LVL XIII luxury shoe company, the event was appropriately titled ‘A Celebration For A Cure’ and was hosted by actress/TV personality Nene Leakes. During the black-tie affair, songstress K. Michelle hit the stage to perform her song ‘Forward’ from the Birth of A Nation Soundtrack while R&B newcomer Ro James performed his Grammy nominated single ‘Permission.’ The beneficiary for this years event was H.E.R.O. For Children, a non-profit organization geared toward helping children in Atlanta who suffer from the AIDS/HIV virus. While on stage, Antonio Brown presented the organization with a $5,000 donation, a donation he’s pledged to continuously donate annually for the next five years.
