J.K. Rowling dragged Piers Morgan on Twitter and launched a war.

On Saturday, Feb. 12, the renowned author criticized the commentator on Twitter, calling him a “celebrity toady” for his defense of Donald Trump.

It all began when Rowling retweeted video of Morgan’s appearance on Friday night’s episode of “Real Time With Bill Maher.” During the show, Morgan was silenced by Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, who told Morgan to “f— off” after claiming Trump’s controversial immigration order targeting majority-Muslim countries was not a “Muslim ban.”

“Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to f— off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I’d always imagined,” Rowling tweeted. Of course, it wasn’t long before Morgan caught wind of the comment and before we knew it, the two were embroiled in an all-out feud.

“This is why I’ve never read a single word of Harry Potter,” Morgan fired back. To which Rowling replied, “Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bulls-– on live TV?”

The verbal scuffle continued, with Rowling asking Morgan if he wanted to create fake photos “of refugees carrying explosives to substantiate your position?” As you may recall, Morgan, a former editor of the Daily Mirror, was axed in 2004 after publishing fabricated photos of British soldiers torturing an Iraqi prisoner.

Meanwhile, Morgan wrote that the “superior, dismissive arrogance of rabid Remain/Clinton supporters like [Rowling] is, of course, precisely why both campaigns lost,” to which the author replied: “If only you’d read Harry Potter, you’d know the downside of sucking up to the biggest bully in school is getting burned alive.”

Then, Rowling went in for the kill, suggesting Morgan is jealous of her success.

But it didn’t stop there, within the hour, stars like Ava Duvernay, Don Cheadle and Chelsea Clinton, among others had weighed in with their thoughts on the matter (and defending Rowling, of course).

Rowling for the win? Sound off with your thoughts on the feud in the comment section below.
