Is Chris Brown spiraling out of control?

In case you missed it, earlier this week, Billboard ran a story where sources “close” to the 27-year-old singer alleged he is on a downward spiral, battling heavy drug addiction to substances like Xanax, lean, Molly and cocaine, among other things.

“There is always someone who wants to take care of Chris Brown,” a former member of Brown’s camp told Billboard. And “for some reason, Team Breezy fans are still strong and still behind him.”

“You can talk to any drug addict or chemically imbalanced person — it doesn’t just go away,” added another source, part of Brown’s inner circle. “It’s something you have to work on. You have to change your lifestyle. And he’s not doing the things he needs to do to get well, so he’s never going to be well. The kid is going to hit rock bottom.”

“He doesn’t know how to deal with the sins of the past,” the source continued. “It’s always someone else’s fault. He becomes the victim. And I think he tries to numb whatever he is feeling.”

Sources went on to claim that Brown is simply acting out in an attempt to garner attention — love: “He does, believe it or not, have a kind heart, and he just wants to be loved. At the same time, he’s incapable of being loved and loving.”

Now, the “Loyal” singer has come forward in an attempt to assure fans he’s okay. “I’m tired of reading about some sh– soon as I’ve got something popping,” he wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 3. “Soon as I want to promote a tour, a party, a f—ing album, anything, y’all bring up something,” Brown continued in a brief video clip. “My weed and my work. That’s all I need,” he concluded.

The disturbing reports comes just weeks after the Virginia native’s ex Karrueche filed a restraining order against Brown, alleging that he both struck her — twice in the stomach and pushed her down some stairs — as well as threatened to kill her.
