The man who allegedly had a gay relationship with Aaron Hernandez in prison has been revealed. According to Daily Mail, Kyle Kennedy was the man who inspired Hernandez to write a note prior to his suicide and the last person to see him alive.

Kennedy, 22, was arrested and sent to jail in January of 2015 after allegedly robbing a gas station in Northbridge, Massachusetts. With a black mask over his face and holding a knife, Kennedy only received $189 for the brazen armed robbery.

Following the robbery, he led police on a high-speed chase before being arrested. He attempted to escape from the precinct but was apprehended. Kennedy comes from a wealthy family, but he reportedly has faced issues with heroin addiction. In December of 2015, he was sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison.

Kennedy and Hernandez eventually met in prison while Hernandez was on trial for murder. At some point, their friendship allegedly became romantic behind the prison’s walls. Before committing suicide, Hernandez left a $50,000 watch and real estate property to Kennedy. Hernandez also wrote letters to his fiancée and daughter. Kennedy is currently on suicide watch and hopes to be able to view the note written by Hernandez.

Before being linked to several murders, Hernandez was a star player for the New England Patriots and signed a multimillion-dollar contract with the team.

On April 24, Hernandez’s family and friends held a private funeral service in Bristol, Connecticut.
