Selena Gomez gets candid about love with The Weeknd.
In case you’re playing catch-up, in early January, Gomez and the crooner were first spotted having dinner in sunny Los Angeles, where they were pictured getting pretty hot and heavy throughout the night. Since then, the couple has been inseparable, taking their love worldwide, traveling both to Italy and documenting their newfound love on social media.
Most recently, the pair made their couple debut at the Met Gala.
During an interview with Miami’s Power 96.5 FM, the 24-year-old revealed she’s all in and gives everything to her relationships. “I’m the kind of kind of girl that loves tremendously big. I just have always been that girl. I will give my heart and my soul to the person that I love. It’s just how I operate,” said Gomez. “With that comes a lot, you know?”
Though Gomez didn’t directly name her singer in shining armor, she was quick to clarify her relationship status as “taken.”
Meanwhile, the former Disney star appeared to hint at The Weeknd when in honor of her new song, “Bad Liar,” she recalled the last lie that she told.
“I tried to say that I wanted to… I was like, planning a trip and I was saying, like, ‘I’m going to leave,'” she explained. “But I was trying to get somebody really cute to tell me to stay.”
Of her new music, Gomez confessed she “spent too much time worrying about what other people have said about me” in the past.
“I just don’t have anything left,” she continued. “All my energy goes to the people I love and wanting to make things that make people feel something. So if I make you feel something and that pisses you off, I think that’s the goal. I made you feel something.”
