Cornell Iran Haynes, known simply to fans as Nelly, was arrested in Auburn, Washington, in the Seattle-area, on charges of 2nd degree rape, stemming from an alleged incident on his tour bus. He met a woman after a performance and brought her back to his tour bus, according to Auburn Police Department. He was booked at 6:39 a.m. PST on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

The tour bus was parked outside Walmart and the woman alleges he raped her while they were on the bus.

He is on the #SmoothTour with Florida Georgia Line, an uber successful country-pop music duo, comprised of vocalists Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard.

This story is developing.

Here’s a concertgoers’ video of Nelly’s performance, just hours before the rape claim.
