5. Cari Champion

Champion’s run near the top of the sports world continued in 2017. The former First Take moderator and current SportsCenter anchor became a part of a new series where she acts as an Uber driver while conducting interviews with athletes. Los Angeles rookies Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma are some of the guests in the series. She’s also reportedly joining SportsNation in 2018.

Champion has also been outspoken about ESPN personalities speaking up about politics. Back in June in an interview with The Ringer, Champion said that she believed the two worlds go hand-in-hand.
