3. Taylor Rooks

Taylor Rooks has the skillset to be the most successful Black woman to come from sports journalism since Robin Roberts. The Atlanta native is wrapping up her first full year in the No. 1 media market of New York. She’s also launched her Timeout With Taylor Rooks podcast this year, with guests like Snoop Dogg, John Wall, Cari Champion, and Kevin Durant. Her career is moving in double time at the age of 25 as she continues to bring a breath of fresh air and enthusiasm to the industry.

Rooks continued to use her growing platform to speak out on race and women’s challenges, with takes on issues such as the NFL’s promise to donate close to $100M to organizations in the Black community as an attempt to silence protesters.
