One of the oddest Hollywood hookups was between the late actor Michael Clark Duncan and reality star Omarosa Manigault Newman. It was in 2012 when the world was shocked to learn that Duncan suffered a heart attack in his home and was discovered by Omarosa unconscious. At the time, it was reported that Omarosa began CPR until medics arrived. Duncan lingered in a coma for days until he passed away on September 3, 2012. Omarosa’s actions before, during and after Duncan’s death have the actor’s family claiming that Omarosa was manipulative and dishonest.
These are claims once made before by Duncan’s sister, Judy Duncan, but the details of Omarosa’s behavior had not fully been exposed. According to a recent interview Judy Duncan did with the Daily Beast, her brother did not seem like himself while in a relationship with Omarosa and was a bit “offish” to family members.
She stated, “I think anyone can be manipulated at any time. I think there’s always somebody that’s going to try and get something out of you, and I think that’s what it was.”
To the surprise of multiple family members, they discovered that in this state, Michael Clark Duncan had changed his will while dating Omarosa. Judy Duncan went on to state, “Because, like I said, the last time we saw him, he just wasn’t right. There was something going on, and I know it. So, for him to have left her everything, there was some manipulation there.”
Omarosa’s behavior while at the hospital was equally shocking, because she inserted herself into his care plan, to the anger of the family. A niece of the actor has claimed that Omarosa even asked to take sperm from his comatose body. A request that the family apparently denied. Further outraging the family was the fact that Omarosa and Michael Clark Duncan were not engaged, as popularly believed. According to his sister, Omarosa started wearing a ring after he was dead and making those engagement claims in public. Judy Duncan also stated that the family was frozen out of the funeral arrangements and that Omarosa made it a red carpet event to promote herself.
The family was equally disturbed that she was allowed to keep the actor’s personal items that should have gone to family members. Duncan’s niece is quoted as stating, “She was getting way more than any and everybody. And that just sat wrong. She got some stuff that originally my oldest son should’ve had in the will. And also it was changed to the point where the will stated that if anybody in the will contested, they got nothing. Who writes that in a will?”
She further said, “As a family, we’re not trying to exploit his death for financial gain. We’re not trying to get ahead. It was just like, why would my uncle leave family things to a girlfriend? No matter what else she got, why personal things?”
Judy Duncan got a little cattier and stated ,”People want me to comment on her, and it’s like, what can you really say about a serpent, other than it’s a serpent? I’m not a snake handler, so I stay away.”
Omarosa has responded to the claims of Duncan’s family members in the past and stated, “I don’t control the estate or the finances and Judy knows it. If you saw all of her emails and texts to me, you would see that she is just trying to get money from me, and threatened going to press if I did not give it to her and that is a crime!”
Omarosa is in the national spotlight again after her firing from the White House as a Trump aide and the release of her new book, Unhinged, that allegedly exposes the nefarious activities of the Trump administration.
