The top 10 Black women sports journalists in 2018

  1. Jemele Hill

Jemele Hill is still the most impactful Black woman in sports journalism today. This year, she transitioned from ESPN to The Atlantic, an outlet where she has chosen to lean more on the political side so far. She’s the narrator of LeBron James’ “Shut Up and Dribble” docu-series. Another entity run by James, Uninterrupted, brought Hill in again to do a roundtable discussion with WNBA stars Angel McCoughtry, Candace Parker and Chiney Ogwumike on “The Hate U Give” and the challenges that women face in professional sports.
