Cardi B opens up about plastic surgery and giving birth.
The 26-year-old rapper, who gave birth to her daughter Kulture 10 months ago, recently opened up about undergoing surgery and told fans at her show in Memphis, Tennessee that she shouldn’t have been performing so soon after the cosmetic procedure.
Explaining her candid confession, she told “Entertainment Tonight”: “I want to explain to people how hard it is to process. I feel like people look at girls on Instagram and go, ‘Oh, they got their lipo done and it was so easy.’
“It is just such a long, hard process, almost like the same process as after you give birth to a baby and you see your body change and snapping it back.”
It can take one to two weeks to recover from liposuction, and patients are urged over the first five days to rest, drink fluids, keep on their compression garment, and to not shower or bathe.
They are also told to move every two hours to stop blood clots from forming while reducing swelling and keeping fluids moving in the body.
During her concert over the weekend, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker told her fans: “I shouldn’t really be performing. I should’ve canceled today because moving too much is gonna f–k up my lipo. But b–ch, I’m still gonna get this mother f—ing money back, let’s go!”
Meanwhile, Cardi has also gone under the knife to have her breasts redone after giving birth, and she joked her daughter – whom she has with husband Offset – has messed up her body. “I feel good, but then sometimes I feel like not, you know? [When] your skin is stretched out. Yes, my daughter f**ked me up! She did, she so did.”
