More details are emerging on what allegedly occurred when a White female police officer killed a Black man after walking into his apartment. Amber Guyger, a former police officer in Dallas, Texas, shot and killed Botham Jean, 25, in September 2018.

Guyger initially claimed that she thought she walked into her apartment, which was one floor below Jean’s, when she encountered Botham. Following the murder, Guyger told authorities that she was tired when she walked into Botham’s apartment.

However, prosecutors have disputed that notion after several text messages were recovered from that night, according to Dallas News.

Guyger was reportedly sending racy text messages to her co-worker, Officer Martin Rivera. “When can I come over” Rivera sent Guyger in a text message that evening. “You can come over after this,” Guyger responded before texting, “super horny today.”

Prosecutors believe that if Guyger was exhausted, as she initially claimed, she would not have had the energy to plan a night of sex with her co-worker. — Click here to continue
