“In Florida, it’s a first-degree misdemeanor,” Pearlman told the publication. “All first-degree misdemeanors are punishable by up to one year in the county jail and the fines are usually around $875. The normal outcome in these scenarios, especially when somebody doesn’t have a prior record is participation in the domestic violence Diversion Program. This generally involves a 26-week family violence counseling course and potentially some community service.”
The amount of time served also depends on whether or not Dash’s husband, Marty, wants to pursue or drop the case.
Another problem facing Dash is the fact that the accrued revenue earned from her movies, TV shows and her contribution to “Fox News” appears to be gone. Dash claimed in court papers that she’s broke and can’t afford a personal lawyer.
