The Atlanta Hawks are not only opening the State Farm arena at full capacity, but they also have home court advantage as the team resumes its playoff run at home for the first time in four years. Ticketholders are still required to wear their masks inside the arena per NBA guidelines. However, guests can remove masks while eating and drinking. There are some important housekeeping rules that the State Farm Arena wants patrons to know prior to arrival.
Fans are highly encouraged to pay for parking online through the ParkMobile app to get passes in advance. The venue will be totally cashless for all transactions; and there will also be a strict bag policy. According to the website: “Fans attending events at State Farm Center will be permitted to carry one clear plastic or vinyl bag that does not exceed 12”x6”x12,” or one clear drawstring bag not to exceed 12”x12,” or one, one-gallon clear plastic or zip-lock bag. A small clutch no larger than 4.5” x 7” may also be carried in addition to one clear bag. Diaper bags (with child) and bags approved for medical needs will be permitted after search by security personnel. All other bags, backpacks, totes and coolers are strictly prohibited. An exception will be made for empty plastic water bottles, up to 32 ounces.”
Also, all Atlanta Hawks ticket holders who purchase floor seats from floor two through floor six will be required to take a rapid onsite COVID test and must show proof of their full vaccination shots. The State Farm Arena will host Game 4 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
On a happier note, there will be 16,000 “Believe”-themed limited edition red T- shirts on the seats as gifts and on Sunday. For fans anxious to see Lou Williams, Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic, De’Andre Hunter, John Collins and the rest of the players; the game can be seen on ESPN, Bally Sports Southeast, and Sports radio 92.9 the Game.
