Tiffany Perkins delivers memorable experiences at Tavern on Lagrange

What have been some of your biggest wins?

Running any business successfully post Covid is a challenge. However, due to the immense amount of success we’ve received from our community of African Americans, we have thrived in an industry that we see failing every day. We are in a predominantly White neighborhood and we are the only Black-owned business there. Not only are we the only Black-owned business, but we have proven that we are a force to be reckoned with, not only with our food but with the live entertainment that we provide every single day of the week.

What is the best seller on the menu?

It’s hard to pick one thing because quite frankly everything is delicious on our menu. However, if I would absolutely have to choose, I would say our lobster lollipop, our Tavern chicken, which is my husband’s signature chicken, and our jerk egg rolls.

What is next for Tavern on Lagrange?

Tavern on Lagrange has become a household name. We’ve grown so quickly thanks to the support we’ve received from the community that we are now opening a second location in Palos Park in September and a third location hopefully early 2022 in Orland Park.
