Ari Lennox had the House of Blues in Chicago packed wall to wall for her age/sex/location tour on March 8, 2023. Her opening acts, Ja’len Josey and Alex Vaughn proved to be great additions to the tour. Their voices and styles are the perfect complement to Ari and prepared the audience for a top-notch performance.

Ari hit the stage wearing a long black leather trench and a big smile. She immediately removed the coat to her fans’ delight and got into her set. Watching Ari perform feels like witnessing an all-time great right at the moment when they catapult into superstardom. Her performance is effortless. Her voice is beautiful and her presence is sultry and electric.

Ari’s performance provided a mix of her newest release “age/sex/location” and her 2018 release “Shea Butter Baby” Her style of R&B touches on a classic approach to the genre while remaining current and relevant to the times.

Ari has clearly outgrown a venue like the House of Blues based on the amount of people that were packed into the space. I fully expect to see her selling out arenas on her next tour.

Take a look at a few pictures from the tour below.
