Jameelah Assata Auset is the queen of goddesses, an ascended master divine feminine teacher, owner of Free the Feminine, and a spiritual life coach who is widely known for bringing women together as they navigate their spiritual journey. She is adept at teaching women how to heal, ancestral veneration, nurturing and growing community, and creating physical and spiritual safe spaces. Auset teaches women how to reconnect with the essence of divine femininity and is the author of Goddess Awakening: Divine Feminine Rise. She also teaches about the principles of femininity on the “Rise of the Divine Feminine” podcast.

What do you do and how were you led to this path?

I am a master divine feminine teacher and spiritual life coach. Over the years I have worked with many women who were looking to reunite pieces and parts of themselves that they lost along the way in life. I am a ceremonialist and over the past three years, I have been guiding Black people to the Motherland on life-changing retreats that bring them back to the heart of their ancestors and the bosom of the divine mother.

What have you learned about yourself in doing this type of work?

Over the years I have learned that there are stark differences between doing something as an interest and doing it as a calling. I’ve been in the women’s spirituality field for 12 years now and I’ve learned, through my staying power, that this is a calling. I’ve learned that the beauty of my work is displayed in being true to myself.

Can you provide specific examples of individuals who have benefitted from your work?

One of my longest-standing clients is a goddess who’s been my student for four years. She struggled with her voice, feeling guilty about restricting others from having access to her and had a habit of working harder for other people’s success than they did for themselves. She has grown and blossomed into a full-blown goddess radiating the energy of Tehuti and Ta-Urt. She is protective of her energy, serious about her boundaries, honors her temple and speaks with full love and confidence.

What are the main issues facing people of color and specifically Black women?

Black women have been overworked for hundreds of millennia. Following the fall of the Nubian-Kemetic empire, the Black woman, who is the mother of humanity, turned into a work vessel. Black women have been at a love deficiency for many years. We struggled to love ourselves and that caused a lot of damage. Now we are returning to love. Loving self, loving each other, loving life.
