SZA has been hearing the chatter about some people’s inability to clearly decipher her lyrics on Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” and wants to set the record straight once and for all.
The “Kill Bill” singer recently took to her Instagram stories to decipher her lyrics and shared with fans the fact that she was actually under the weather when she recorded her verse and that may be the reason why some weren’t able to quite make out what she was saying.
“Y’all lmao I was sick w a fever n couldnt breathe when I recorded this and told @champagnepapi no one would understand me n I sound crazy,” she shared. “He said noooo ur fine anyways here’s the lyrics to RBD once n for all.”
The nine time 2024 Grammy Award nominee then re-shared the story post to her main feed along with the lyrics to her verse.
“‘You been so good and you deserve to end your suffering, I need good d— n conversation can you comfort me. I got a feeling this is more than what we both say I got a feeling this is more than feelings,” she wrote. “I can’t let you get away .. feels good but it can’t be love . Ain’t a damn thing that I’d do ! Ain’t a damn thing oooooo’ just in case lmao love y’all.”
