The mother of Doja Cat has filed for a temporary restraining order against her own son, claiming that he has physically and verbally abused her daughter, the singer and rap star.
According to legal documents obtained by “TMZ,” Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer is fearful for her daughter’s safety after her son, 30-year-old Raman Dalithando Dlamini, allegedly beat up Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini.
In the court filing, Sawyer asserts that Dlamini has manhandled his famous sister in a “very degrading and demeaning” way and has made Doja feel “unsafe and traumatized.”
As proof, the mother claims Dlamini has given Doja Cat cuts and bruises and even knocked out her teeth. He also said that her son has also destroyed and stolen some of Doja’s property.
The entertainment publication reports that the judge in the case has granted Sawyer a temporary restraining after claiming that her son allegedly abused her physically and threatened her.
This is not the first time that Sawyer has petitioned the court for protection from her son. She has successfully obtained a temporary restraining order against Dlamini but it has since expired. Another court session is forthcoming to decide whether to make the order permanent.
However, the judge only granted the mother a temporary restraining order. According to the documents, the judge instructed Sawyer that Doja Cat has to personally file her own TRO if the claims are true.
Doja Cat has yet to publicly corroborate or deny her mother’s claims against her sibling.
