A multitude of social media users erupted in outrage over a debate that suggested rapper Quavo is a bigger celebrity than crooner Chris Brown.
The subject was broached during a debate between Rory Farrell and Mal Clay on the “Rory and Mal” podcast on Apple recently. Fans may remember Farrell and Clay as the former co-hosts of “The Joe Budden Podcast from 2016 to 2021 before breaking off on their own.

During the latest episode of “Rory and Mal,” the hosts pointed out that Brown told his vast Twitter followership that he reluctantly sat next to Quavo during Paris Fashion Week. The two musicians have beef that goes back years though Brown declined to get into specifics.

Mal suggested that if Breezy had asked the organizers to move Quavo, they would have. Rory countered that Quavo and the Migos are the “hotter” and bigger stars at this moment and they would have declined to move Quavo.
“Quavo right now, name-wise, is hotter,” Rory said. “And that’s not a bad thing to say. That happens to every artist ever.”
This got Breezy backers in an uproar. Even though Rory and a female host admitted that worldwide Brown is bigger than Quavo, the damage had already been done in the eyes of Brown fans.
Some hastened to point out that Brown recently became the only artist in the new millennium to chart for 20 consecutive years, thanks to his two latest singles “IDGAF” and “Sensational.” According to Billboard, this remarkable feat has only been accomplished by Elton John, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and Elvis Presley in the history of the Hot 100 charts.

In furtherance of the pro-Breezy discipleship’s point, they highlight the fact that Brown boasts a gargantuan Instagram following of 145 million fans. This is more than 120 million more than Quavo, who has 24M to his credit.
Moreover, Nothing But Sports took an unofficial random poll to determine who was the bigger star, which overwhelmingly favored Breezy.
Soon after the episode of “Rory and Mal” aired, mostly Brown fans took the airwaves to air out their grievance at the mere suggestion that Quavo is bigger or hotter.
How Quavo bigger than Chris Brown when he’s not even bigger than Offset and takeoff 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/wHSybG2zpH

To even consider Quavo a bigger star or more relevant than Chris Brown is down right laughable. Chris Brown’s music is more relevant at this very moment than Quavo’s too. One of the wildest takes I have ever seen 😂😂😂😂😂😂 @MAL___ all the way right here https://t.co/ouUh4G7ERD
