Former NFL superstar Richard Sherman was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 25 on suspicion of DUI on Saturday, March 24.

Richard Sherman: brilliant mind but troubled soul
The loquacious and often bombastic Sherman, who was born in Compton, California, and graduated from the esteemed Stanford University in just three years, has been working as a sports analyst for Amazon Prime and Fox Sports “Undisputed.”
This is the second time in three years that Sherman has been arrested for DUI. He was apprehended in 2021 after police said he crashed his car into a construction zone, left the scene of the accident, then stormed over to in-laws’ house and tried to break in there.
His horrified wife, Ashley, called 911 at the time and told authorities that Sherman was “drunk and belligerent and threatening to kill himself.”
After negotiating with prosecutors, Sherman was able to avoid jail time. The judge handed down a $1,500 fine and he was placed under monitored court supervision for two years. He was also required to attend a DUI victim’s panel. He also apologized and vowed to seek counseling to remedy the personal tumult that led to his alcoholism.
Sherman, 35, played for the Seahawks, 49ers and Buccaneers during his stories 11-year NFL career that saw his squad reach the Super Bowl in consecutive years. He was a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro after being selected as a fifth-round pick in 2011 by Seahawks.
