Offset and Quavo lost somebody really close to them, and from the outside looking in, it didn’t seem like it brought them closer together.
The two apparently weren’t on speaking terms before Takeoff’s death in 2022, and they allegedly got into a shouting match backstage at the 2023 Grammys. Despite the rumors of their relationship, they came together and performed at the 2023 BET Awards in honor of Takeoff.
In a recent interview with “Million Dollaz Worth of Game,” Offset discussed his current relationship with Quavo.
“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other,” Offset said. “We went through something. We don’t have to show you n—– smiles and faces, so stop doing that. We ain’t on no sucker s— with each other. We both came in this s— together, and we both knew that we understood that, and we lost our brother.”
Offset says he doesn’t like that people have tried to turn him and Quavo against each other and that they should care about their relationship in the first place.
“I still go through shit, I know bro go through shit,” Offset said. “N—– love each other though, at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it. Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that s—. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”
