Travis Kelce “doesn’t know how” he started dating Taylor Swift.
The NFL star started romancing the “Karma” hitmaker last summer. Although she’s been a regular at his Kansas City Chiefs games, the “New Heights” podcast host admitted he’s still amazed he managed to capture the pop superstar’s attention because she “wasn’t into sports.”
Comic Lil Dicky was a guest on Travis’ podcast — which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce — and hailed his romance with Swift as “the best thing ever.”
“I think there’s just something that makes everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your most popular pop star beloved musician somehow met your most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love — and it’s just real. Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser,” Dicky said.
“I appreciate it, man. I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports, so I don’t know how I did it,” Travis replied.
“Well, you did because you called her out on …” Lil Dicky said, referencing Travis’ previous public admission he had made a friendship bracelet for the “Anti-Hero” singer but was unable to meet her to hand it over at the time.
“No, I know exactly how I did it,” Travis laughed.
The brothers’ guest also quizzed the siblings on how they have found the extra attention being close to Swift has brought. Travis admitted he is “having a blast” and appreciates the fact his girlfriend’s presence has introduced more people to his sport.
“It’s not changed that much for me,” Jason said.
“It’s fun. He’s having a blast in life, baby. Just flying high, enjoying it all. Bringing new lives to the football world and opening up the football world up to new things,” Travis added.
