Angel Reese has a new nickname.
The star basketball player who captured so many basketball fans’ hearts as the “Bayou Barbie” is now out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and LSU, thus creating an appropriate time for a new alias.
“Hey, y’all,” Reese said in a video on TikTok. “It’s the ‘Chi Barbie’ here. I still want y’all to know that I’m still going to be the ‘Bayou Barbie,’ but I’m going to Chicago now, so they basically already have inherited me to Chicago. So many people have reached out to me. The love is running deep and going crazy.”
Reese also made a clarification regarding the status of her previous nicknames.
“I am the Chi Barbie, I am the Baltimore Barbie and I am always going to be the Bayou Barbie,” Reese said.
She then held a public call for local nail techs, makeup artists, and hair stylists to contact her so she could select consistent business owners to support during her time in Illinois.
“Chi Town, I’ll see you soon,” Reese said. “Muah.”
Reese previously took to X to ask her followers what her new nickname should be.
