Apple is seemingly set to unveil Apple Pencil 3 at a May 7 event dubbed “Let Loose.”

Tim Cook’s tech giant has been rumored to be working on a new pencil for the iPad. Now, it looks as if the new hardware will be showcased during the digital event at 3 p.m.

“Pencil us in for May 7! #AppleEvent.” the CEO teased on X.

As well as a new Pencil, a new OLED iPad Pro series, a 12.9-inch iPad Air and a new Magic Keyboard are said to be part of the new product lineup.

Meanwhile, Apple recently tightened iMessage’s security to prevent future quantum computing hacking.

The PQ3 protocol is a brand new defense algorithm built by the tech giant to protect sensitive and critical data.

“More than simply replacing an existing algorithm with a new one, we rebuilt the iMessage cryptographic protocol from the ground up. It will fully replace the existing protocol within all supported conversations this year,” Apple wrote in a blog post.

It works by generating encryption keys for an iMessage text, which is sent to Apple’s servers, where a fresh key is made to lock hackers out.

This is Apple’s response to what is being dubbed “Q-Day”, “the day quantum computers can render all current encryption methods meaningless”, as per PC Mag‘s definition.
