Tank Dell, a star wide receiver for the Houston Texans, reportedly suffered a gunshot wound at a nightclub in northern Florida on April 28.
According to ESPN, Nathaniel Jasper “Tank” Dell Jr. suffered what the team is calling a “minor” injury when a teen opened fire indiscriminately into a crowd at Cabana Live in Sanford, Florida, a suburb of Orlando.
Dell was released following outpatient treatment at a local hospital. The teenage suspect was quickly detained and arrested following the melee.
“[Dell] has been released from the hospital, and he is in good spirits,” the Texans said on social media. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”

Witnesses told authorities that a man pulled out a handgun and began firing toward a crowd of people after a fistfight broke out. A security guard lunged at the shooter and disarmed him. None of the 10 gunshot victims suffered life-threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old shooting suspect has been charged with attempted homicide, firing a weapon in a public place, using a firearm during a felony and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.
The teen was transported to the county juvenile detention center before his first court appearance.
Dell helped the Texans to arguably their most exciting season in their short history where they made the playoffs and defeated the Browns, 45-14, in January 2024.
