A herd of Caitlin Clark fans are stampeding after her rival Angel Reese after the latter took a thinly veiled shot at Clark due to the preferential treatment she is receiving from the league, the fans, and Madison Avenue sponsors.
Reese’s emotions were ratcheted up after she and her Chicago Sky pulled off the upset and defeated the reigning league MVP, Breanna Stewart, and the New York Liberty, 90-81. Reese helped lead the charge by depositing 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Following the game, Reese fired off a statement that rankled the sensibility of the impassioned multitudes who love Clark by mentioning the packed house the Sky and Liberty played in. She was alluding to the fact that Clark is not the only reason why more eyes are on the sport these days.
Millions of new women’s basketball fans have been propagating their theory that Clark is singularly responsible for the sudden and exponential rise in TV viewership and sold-out arenas. Clark fans say the rookie player should, subsequently, be accorded extra treats that others do not have access to — not even the legends in the game.
Renowned ESPN sports reporter Elle Duncan is completely exasperated by the toxicity swirling around the WNBA because the other players don’t genuflect at the alter of Caitlin Clark.
“I’m tired of it being people who are not in this circle or space at all who suddenly have all these opinions about how these women need to treat Caitlin Clark.”
“They want to beat her ‘cause she’s not on their team.”

Duncan elaborated on the ridiculous rhetoric raging throughout cyberspace, saying that the players are not jealous or resentful towards Clark.
