Nike is set to dazzle the footwear market with the release of two exclusive women’s Air Max Plus sneakers adorned with Swarovski crystals. Slated for a holiday 2024 launch, these sneakers are expected to capture the essence of luxury and sportiness, although specific release dates remain unconfirmed.

The upcoming Swarovski editions will feature two colorways: a classic black and white and a vibrant black, red, and gold. The latter is inspired by the iconic sunset themed Pimento Nike Air Max Plus, which is also scheduled for a rerelease later this year.

History of the Air Max Plus

First introduced in 1998 as a Foot Locker exclusive, the Air Max Plus, or Air Max TN, has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, particularly during its 25th anniversary in 2023. This resurgence was marked by notable collaborations, including partnerships with Patta and FC Barcelona, and a three-pack release with British brand A-Cold-Wall.

Historically, Nike has embraced Swarovski’s luxurious touch in previous Air Max models, starting with the Air Max 97s in 2017. These special editions were priced significantly higher than their standard counterparts, indicating a similar premium for the upcoming Swarovski Air Max Plus sneakers.

In a recent SNKRS Showcase, Nike confirmed the release of the two Swarovski-studded colorways, but sneaker enthusiasts and collectors eagerly await further announcements for a confirmed release date.
