Apple will let businesses customize their profiles on iPhone emails and phone calls.
The tech giant has unveiled new plans for its Business Connect tool — which launched last year to let businesses claim listing in Siri, Wallet, Messages, Maps and other apps — which will take it further.
“Any verified business can now create a consistent brand and location presence across apps that customers use every day, including Apple Maps, Wallet and Mail,” Apple announced in a press release.
This will allow businesses to sign up and display their brand name and logo in Apple‘s Mail and Phone apps.
For Mail, sign-ups are live now with a roll-out set for later in the year. The registration for Business Caller ID — which will include “their name, logo and department” when they contact customers — will be available in 2025.
“We’re excited to offer all businesses — including those without a physical location — the ability to create a brand that appears across the Apple apps that over a billion people use every day,” David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product, said. “We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust and grow.”
