Miami rap pioneer Uncle Luke shared a hilarious story about LisaRaye’s notoriously tough dating standards.
The two were chilling out at the late legendary Prince’s old club in South Beach called Club Mansion when The Players Club star blurted out her irritation at the number of NFL stars who were trying to date her.
“I’ll tell you a LisaRaye story,” Luke began. “I love LisaRaye because she’s brutally honest.”
Continuing, Luke said “We was just sitting there chilling. And LisaRaye said, ‘Luke, why all these broke a– football players tryna holla at me?’”
Luke, née Luther Campbell reflexively said, “Lisa, you can’t talk like that.”

“She is the best; that’s my homegirl,” Uncle Luke continued. “Right then and there, I became a superfan.
Luke admitted that he admired the actress’ unabashed and unfiltered openness about her financial requirements in dating.
“She keep it one hundred. I think all women should be like that…say what you want,” he added. “She’ll tell you in a minute, ‘I don’t like you. You can’t meet my standards.’”
Uncle Luke’s story comes a couple of weeks after LisaRaye went viral on Carlos King’s “Reality With The King” podcast and being unapologetic about her demands on financial compatibility with a prospective boyfriend.
“I’ve lived, and I’m gonna continue to live the way I’m used to because I can and I do!” she told King in December 2024. “You cannot hang with me. You are still wanting a vacation for the weekend. I vacation and go on holiday for the month. We are not going to be able to make this work.”
