Marcus Jordan learned that being the son of a billionaire business baron and basketball royalty cannot sufficiently shield him from the repercussions of allegedly committing transgressions.

Marcus Jordan tried to use his dad’s name as currency

The son evoked the name of his globally famous father, Michael Jordan, before he was arrested for allegedly driving drunk, possessing cocaine, and resisting arrest. Police were called to the scene after Jordan’s $300K Lamborghini got stuck on a set of railroad tracks on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in Maitland, Fla., about 10 miles north of Orlando.

The footage released by the Maitland Police Department and aired by WFAA television station shows Marcus Jordan imploring the police officers to help him move his luxury whip off the tracks so that he and his female companion could continue on their way.

Marcus Jordan reportedly showed signs of intoxication

An officer ordered Jordan and his female companion out of the car because “a train was coming by,” to which Jordan retorted with profanities: “I know, that’s why I’m trying to get the f— out of here.”

Authorities asked Jordan how he got stuck on the tracks when he told them that he “got discombobulated” and turned the wrong way.

Later on in the video, Marcus Jordan can be heard trying to use the fame card as he notified the officers who he was.

“I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. Okay?”

Marcus Jordan added, “The last thing I wanted to do is put my car on the tracks, obviously, it’s a $330,000 car. Why would I want to be on the tracks?”

At this point, after watching Jordan stumble on the rocks a few times, the officers asked him if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages.

Jordan, 34, responded that he had “a little bit” to drink that night but hastened to add that he was “under the legal limit.”

Despite his protestations that he was not drunk, the police report revealed that Jordan failed three sobriety tests. And one of the officers said in the incident report that Jordan eyes were bloodshot and emitted an alcoholic odor every time he answered a question.

One of the cops on the scene asked Jordan to judge on a “scale of 0-10” with 0 being “sober” what number he was on, and Jordan said “3.” That answer prompted officers to slap the cuffs on him.

The officer said Jordan “too much to drink tonight,”

The former basketball player and reality star said, “I disagree with that, sir, but whatever you say … I hear you, but I disagree.”

According to the police report obtained by Yahoo! Sports, officers found a white powdery substance in a bag while searching the younger Jordan. The on-site test proved it was cocaine.

Marcus Jordan’s bail was set at $4000 in order for him to secure his release.
