R. Kelly desperately wants to get out of prison because he believes there is a conspiracy to murder him behind bars.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, R. Kelly’s attorneys have filed for the former superstar singer to serve his sentence under house arrest. The singer, 58, said he was told that a prison guard and a member of the Aryan Brotherhood are plotting to kill him at the Federal Correctional Institute Butner in North Carolina, where he is housed.

Kelly’s lawyers produce affidavit

The 12 Play crooner said he procured a sworn affidavit from Aryan Brotherhood gang leader named Mikeal Glenn Stine, who is terminally ill. He claims that someone from the Bureau of Prisons came to him with a scheme, during his time at an Arizona facility, that he could spend his last days as a free man if he would take R. Kelly out.

Stine said he was told that he would kill Kelly and that he would be charged, but that he would not be punished and would eventually be free. Stine allegedly stated that officials told him that the investigation would be deliberately botched.

After the hoopla dies down and folks return to their normal routines, the murder would eventually be forgotten about. Stine claims officials would “bury” the evidence. At some point, Stine says the corrections officers would ensure that he would be allowed to escape and then stay free to live out the rest of his days, which are numbered due to an unspecified medical condition.

Alleged conspirator snitched

Stine said in his affidavit that he could not follow through with the murder plot. He said he even got close to R. Kelly one day but didn’t have the courage to commit the murder.

Later, Stine said he went up to R. Kelly to inform him of the alleged conspiracy. Stine said he is willing to take a polygraph test to corroborate his story.

There is a price for coming clean about the alleged plot to kill R. Kelly: now the singer’s attorneys say that there is now a contract put out by another member of the Aryan Brotherhood to take out R. Kelly and to kill the snitch, Stine.

R. Kelly’s legal team has filed for Kelly to live out his prison sentence under house arrest. This would go along with his goal of resuscitating his music career.

The “Bump & Grind” singer is currently serving 30 years to life for convictions on numerous sexual assault charges at the state and federal levels.
