Burrell and UniWorld Win Top Honors at ANA

Great works continue to come out of Burrell Communications Group and UniWorld Group Inc. These African American-owned advertising agencies took top honors at ANA (Association of National Advertisers) at the 2010 Multicultural Excellence Awards. Now in its 10th year, the awards event recognizes ANA member companies and other marketers for their work in producing the superior multicultural advertising campaigns that ran between June 2009 and June 2010.

Burrell was recognized as the leader in two categories: ‘African American’ and ‘General Market’ for their McDonald’s U.S. and Procter & Gamble campaigns, respectively. UniWorld was the leader in the ‘Campaign with Significant Result’ category for Marine Corps Recruiting Command, a unique multimedia campaign.

The 2010 grand prize award recipients were announced at a ceremony during the
ANA’s Multicultural Marketing&Diversity Conference in Miami. Winners were named in eight categories, including a new category highlighting exceptional work in print advertising.  The leaders of the aforementioned premier agencies, Fay Ferguson, Co-CEO of Burrell Communications and Chuck Morrison, executive vice president, general manager of client services at UniWorld Group, were among their biggest supporters and employees, including UniWorld’s Quincy Cherry.
