DECATUR, Ga. –
The principle players of Bravo TV’s smash franchise “The Real
Housewives of Atlanta” were greeted by a boisterous blockade of
humanity that choked off all foot traffic leading into Macy’s at The
Gallery at South DeKalb Mall in suburban Atlanta. More than 300 fans
packed one corner of the mall and listened as V-103 radio personality
Ryan Cameron fire a series of invasive questions at Lisa Wu Hartwell,
NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield on the eve of the second season of the
“Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Blond bombshell Kim Zolciak did not
appear but will join the other three for filming. Introverted DeShawn
Snow was not invited back for the second installment and there is no
word yet on her replacement.

The session
traversed the spectrum of controversial topics that whet the collective
appetite of “Real Housewives” fans for the next season, which begins
filming and airs this fall. Cameron and the three divas broached thorny
topics, such as the tumultuous breakup between Kim and NeNe; NeNe and
Sheree’s adversarial relationship; Sheree’s turbulent divorce; the
legitimacy of Lisa’s businesses, and whether NeNe, the most popular of
the Real Housewives, was financially destitute and kicked out of her
home after the first season.

Season one
of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” was a certifiable ratings blockbuster,
becoming the most successful first-time show on Bravo TV in five years
and far outdoing its “Real Housewives” predecessors — “Orange County”
and “New York” versions — by a significant amount in the ratings.
