Ahhhh yes, spring and the gift of giving were definitely in the air this past Saturday at barOne. Shanti Das of Press Reset Entertainment hosted her 2nd annual party for the United Way Shoebox campaign (shoebox.unitedwayatlanta.org). With the help of her fabulous host committee (Mo Ivory, Joycelyn Bergeron, Yvette Caslin, Dee Dee Murray, Lillie Mae, Lisa Pope, Andrea Carter, Melissa St Joy, Malaika Dowdell, April Nichols, Denise Kinsle and Eboni Elektra), they were able to collect toiletry items for 100 boxes to benefit homeless women and children in the Greater Atlanta community. Many of the hosts brought their family members, children and friends to help wrap boxes and sort through the donations. This was a pure act of love, kindness and compassion. A huge thank you to all who participated!
