Last week, Bobbi Kristina confirmed to fans that she and her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Nick Gordon, are engaged. And, as expected, fans responded with harsh criticism for the couple, much like they did when the pair first got engaged last year. But Bobbi Kristina has never been one to hold her tongue, and she recently fired back at her critics and defended her right to marry Gordon.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Bobbi Kristina responded to critics who have slammed the celeb for being in a relationship with her so-called brother.

“YES, we … are engaged. I’m tired of hearing people say ‘eww your engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this,’ ” wrote Bobbi Kristina.

Bobbi Kristina explains that her late mother, Whitney Houston, took Nick Gordon in when he was young, but never officially adopted him. Bobbi Kristina also claims that Houston had an idea that a romance may brew between her daughter and Gordon.

“Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him,” explained Bobbi Kristina. “In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating. My mom knows me better than any of you.”

Bobbi Kristina continued, “A lot of y’all are saying that y’all are only saying this all out of love. Which is bull because if that was so, all you would want is for me to be happy. People need to seriously stop judging my relationship. Pretty sure it’s my own decision who I want to be with. Yes, my relationship may not be perfect. We will have rough patches, just like every other relationship.”

Well, Bobbi Kristina certainly isn’t the only celebrity getting bashed for their relationship. Check out some other controversial couples below. –nicholas robinson
