“Dancing With The Stars” finale
During the season finale of “Dancing With The Stars,” the final three couples faced off, but ultimately fan favorites Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy took home a win. The entire cast, which included NeNe Leakes and Billy Dee Williams (above) returned for the finale and watched as Meryl and Maks wowed the crowd for a final time before winning the Mirror Ball trophy. Their win was especially joyous for Maks, considering it was his first place win in his 14 seasons.
“It’s just plastic, but it means so much,” said the pro-dancer on his win. “And to do it with Meryl is a dream come true. There’s a reason why it didn’t happen before — because it was meant to happen with this one.”
Paralympian Amy Purdy and her partner Derek Hough were runners-up, while actress Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas placed third.
In addition to watching the finale, NeNe Leakes hit the dance floor to shake it alongside “Dancing With The Stars” female dance pros. The leggy blonde performed an African-style dance to Beyoncé’s “Grown Woman” for her final performance.
